SHUBHANGI ATRE : AN ICONIC & INSPIRING ACTOR

Beauty with Brains, Innocent and Talent Personified, that’s Shubhangi Atre, making waves in the competitive entertainment industry with her performance as angoori Bhabhi in “Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai”, a comedy serial on &TV CHANNEL.  

Shubhangi was always focused on her education and on completing her education, was ambitious to pursue her academics and went on to complete her MBA with Major in Marketing & HR.  

Sweet & Scintillating Shubhangi, born on 11^th April, hailing from Indore, nick named Buttu, daughter of Shri. Roop Narayan Atre, always had a dream to be a part of the entertainment world. She knew it is always easy to have a dream but is as difficult to get the inroads in the industry, which is highly competitive but her ambition was with full conviction and optimism, she firmly believed that tough times don’t last, tough people do and moved on to pursue her great passion for acting. She initially shot for a Print ad of a Shampoo (a regional brand) & after her marriage with Piyush Poorey, garnering his support; she started her journey and arrived Mumbai with a dream to realize. Her acting career commenced in 2006 with Ekta Kapoor Productions “Kasauti Zindagii Kay”. She was highly appreciated and based on her performance; she immediately bagged “Kasturi”, in which she was seen in the lead role.

Rising high on the popularity charts, she went on to do “Yeh Rishta Kya Kahlata Hai”, “Do Hanso Ka Jhoda”, “Havan”, “Chidiya Ghar”, “Savdhaan India”. “Adhoori Kahani Hamari”, “Gulmohar Grand”, Stories by Rabindranath Tagore till 2015.

Electrifying Shubhangi’s passion and hard work coupled with dedication gave her a major break, when she was signed up by Edit II Productions, as angoori bhabhi in “Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai”, in the year 2016. Initially everyone felt she had replaced another actor of the show but here she followed her heart & put her intelligent brains to analyze & evaluate the situation. Vibrant Shubhangi embraced pain and burnt it to use it as a fuel for her journey & was determined to take up the challenge. She was even made to face the allegations that she is copying the earlier actor but as an intelligent persona, she maintained silence and today her performance with innovative approach speaks volumes.

Presently, Shubhangi is a talent on the threshold of the entertainment industry with name and fame by winning most Prestigious Awards like Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award, ITA Awards, all in the “Best Actress (Comedy)” category for 3 years & Aadhi Abadi Women Achiever’s “Achievement Award”.

The most remarkable point is that Shubhangi, despite being highly qualified and modernised, is able to portray the role of a desi innocent loving Bhabhi with perfect adaption of diction, required by the character thereby making her the most desirable Bhabhi in India. 

On personal front too, Shubhangi indeed is an inspiration to all the aspirants from every part of world with her key points to success being the will to win, the desire to succeed & urge to reach your full potential. A mother of a sweet daughter named Aashi, her responsibilities of parenting her, working round the clock to complete deadlines and maintain the shine makes her an icon of self confidence & reflects the principle of her WOMEN POWER.
